There’s nothing quite like seeing and touching fabrics in person. Our design studio in the village of High Catton, just outside York, is home to an extensive library of swatches from all our fabric partners — from sumptuous velvets and rich linens to hardwearing weaves and elegant prints.
When you visit, you’ll have dedicated time with our team to explore fabrics, discuss your ideas, and find the perfect chair for your space. We’ll make you a cup of tea, talk through the options, and help you make a decision you’ll love for years to come.
Appointments typically last around 45 minutes to an hour, though you’re welcome to take as long as you need. We recommend booking in advance so we can give you our full attention.

Our team will help you navigate fabric choices, discuss dimensions, and answer any questions about the making and delivery process.
We’ll greet you at the studio, get comfortable, and have a chat about what you’re looking for — the room, the style, the feel you’re after.
Take your time exploring our swatch collection. We’ll pull out options that match your brief, or you can browse freely and see what catches your eye.
Sit in our display chairs to get a feel for the proportions and comfort levels of each style — occasional chairs, wingbacks, and armchairs.
We’ll help you compare your shortlisted fabrics against each other and against the chair style you’ve chosen. Take photos, hold swatches against each other, and see them in different light.
If you’re ready, we can place your order there and then. If you’d like time to think, we’ll send you home with fabric samples and a quote. There’s never any pressure to decide on the day.
We’re located in the village of High Catton, approximately 7 miles east of York city centre. Just 10 minutes from the A1079 and easily accessible from the A64.
