Our story began over fifteen years ago in a small shop on the outskirts of York. Founded by Bronia and Steve, Fabric Gallery & Interiors was born from a simple but powerful passion for interior design. Bronia and Steve grew the business the old-fashioned way... with hard work and happy clients! They quickly became a trusted name for interior design across Yorkshire & the UK.
The two of them originally launched Occasional Chairs as a passion project back in 2011, however it was momentarily set aside as they focused on their busy design studio. It stayed in the wings until 2025, waiting for the right moment and the right hands to lead it.
Growing up surrounded by the hum of the studio, Eva lived and breathed the world of interiors. From her first Saturday job at 15 in the shop to a full-time designer & studio manager. She watched her mum and dad transform houses into homes. Today, that family story enters its most exciting chapter… Eva and her partner Tom are now stepping forward to relaunch Occasional Chairs, carrying her parents’ vision into a new era.We are keeping our family story alive while redefining the "statement chair" for a new generation.— Eva
